Jim Stamp, sole owner/operator and fabricator at Hammered Iron has fabricated several custom iron pieces for my wife and me. A number of years ago we needed a light at our back door. We wanted a pendant light but had no way to extend it out and over the area around the back door. Jim designed, built and installed a beautiful iron piece that allowed us to hang the light out from and over our back door. Not long thereafter, we commissioned Jim to build us a custom king size bed. Working only from a photograph of the bed we wanted, Jim scaled it out on paper and fabricated a beautiful steel bed for us. Almost 20 years later, we still sleep in it.  Most recently, I engaged Jim to fabricate a custom base for a ne conference room table I commissioned for my office. Working with my requirements for the base and communicating regularly with the table maker, Jim built a solid steel base for the table that is spectacular! Jim Stamp is a true artisan who can both envision an iron item AND fabricate it to perfection. Jim's work is of the highest quality, both as to materials and structure and his precision, attention to detail and overall craftsmanship are superb.   In all things Jim makes, perfect is the  standard. Simply put, he does not allow "good enough" to leave his shop.
